MC MOMENT-um is a Bay Area-raised, Las Vegas-based MC, producer, B-Boy, DJ, filmmaker and culture builder whose hip-hop path began at age 12.
Across more than 35 years, Jon “Jon BE” Buchanan has moved between the cypher, stage, studio, camera and control room. He founded All Aspects Crew, co-created and hosted Raw City Underground, built artist experiences for clubs, raves, parties and breaking events, and is now an official member of the legendary STYLE ELEMENTS CREW.
His creative mission is direct: make impactful music, keep every element connected, and use freestyle as a live form of storytelling. His current work combines original records, real-time beatmaking, improvisational rap, documentary production and mentorship.

Most of the hundreds of unreleased MOMENT-um tracks began as freestyles. That doesn’t mean the writing stops—it means the instinct and the craft train together.
Written bars go deeper: layered wordplay, conundrums, multisyllabic rhyme schemes, unexpected patterns and soul-centered, culture-inspired deep dives. The subject is the work of becoming more authentic, more aware and more present—so the music can reach people with maximum impact.
Nothing has to stay the same. You can sharpen your mindset, level up your game and keep moving forward.
MOMENT-um writes to live that message in public—not as a perfect person preaching from above, but as proof that somebody can keep rebuilding, adapting and chasing the dream. The bars are meant to hit hard, tell the truth and make somebody believe they can do it too.

Born from Stockton and Modesto, STYLE ELEMENTS became one of breaking’s most influential crews. The 1997 Battle of the Year world championship, Freestyle Session-era victories, original movement languages and decades of teaching, judging, touring, choreography and screen work helped shape modern breaking worldwide.
MOMENT-um represents that legacy through the full culture: MCing, DJing, breaking, graffiti, community, innovation and respect.
